Easter –Palooza

Alrighty folks…I have edited my 130 pics from this weekend down to only 70.  Now…which ones to share.   Make sure you didn’t miss Eggstravanganza Part 1.  And Stay tuned for Eggstravaganza Part 2.  But this… is Easter Palooza.

Since I shared so much about our traditions that honor Christ and the resurrection, I wanted to share some great moments from the weekend.

Jesus was wrapped up and put in the tomb…
then sealed with the rock.

 
We absolutely love this tradition.

Next up we did our new tradition of Rocks in our Basket,
representing our sins.

Here I am explaining to the kiddos that the penalty for sin is death, and Jesus paid that for us.

Carson viewed this like an egg hunt, and thus ended up with the most rocks.  Fitting, since the rocks represent sin.

Sunday morning we woke to an empty tomb!
The children were SO excited!

 

Then they got their Easter baskets from us

We don’t make a big deal about the Easter bunny…

but explain to them that we give them gifts and goodies to remind us of God’s great love for us!

 

It was definitely a celebratory weekend!
