Alrighty folks…I have edited my 130 pics from this weekend down to only 70. Now…which ones to share. Make sure you didn’t miss Eggstravanganza Part 1. And Stay tuned for Eggstravaganza Part 2. But this… is Easter Palooza.

Since I shared so much about our traditions that honor Christ and the resurrection, I wanted to share some great moments from the weekend.
David sharing about the death and burial of Jesus.
Jesus was wrapped up and put in the tomb…
then sealed with the rock.
We absolutely love this tradition.
Next up we did our new tradition of Rocks in our Basket,
representing our sins.
Here I am explaining to the kiddos that the penalty for sin is death, and Jesus paid that for us.
Putting rocks in their basket
Carson viewed this like an egg hunt, and thus ended up with the most rocks. Fitting, since the rocks represent sin.
The Blood of Christ that covers our sins.
Sunday morning we woke to an empty tomb!
The children were SO excited!
Then they got their Easter baskets from us
We don’t make a big deal about the Easter bunny…
but explain to them that we give them gifts and goodies to remind us of God’s great love for us!
It was definitely a celebratory weekend!
Stay tuned for Eggstravaganza Part 2 and Easter-Palooza Part 2.
I know, I know…
By the time I finish posting all these Easter pics it will be 4th of July.
Love the excitement when the tomb was empty. Too cute.

ReplyDeleteWell, I guess that doesn't matter.
I'm visiting you from JDanielsMom's blog. Saw you there and I was intriqued.
What a fun site for finding cool things to do with my Grands!
Hope your weekend is lovely.
Hey! What did you use to make that tomb?? I love the simplicity of it.
