“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
I shared recently (well ,I think I did) how this verse has been a
sweet reminder to me lately. I long to not grow weary in my days. I long to not grow weary in my parenting, in this great work God has called me to. To be the wife God has called me to be.
I long to do good. To choose the good. To choose the best.
To choose to be joyful instead of grumpy and irritable. To embrace this season of mothering little ones. To be kind, loving, patient, gentle… to overflow with the Fruit of the Spirit.
But, I don’t know about you… but for me, that is SO hard to do in the day to day. Especially when the Smoke Alarms are going off. Are you weary? Cause I feel weary.
So I did what any reasonably person would do…
I had the verse put on a sign. And I love it. It hangs above the window in my kitchen…where I usually start to feel the pull away from doing good. Hopeless, tired, frustrated… And then I catch a glimpse of this sweet sign and I hear the whisper…

I hope you are encouraged by this verse as well!
Persevere friends! We will reap a harvest from all these little seeds we are planting. Seeds of love and faith, that our children pick up on every day.
Yes friends… Let us not grow weary.
